Sponsorship Opportunities
Nature Publishing Group Sponsorship Options
NPG has a vibrant and creative program of sponsorship opportunities. These extend the services that NPG provides to the research community, in the form of enhanced print products, innovative web projects and cutting-edge meetings and conferences.
Current sponsorship opportunities include:
Nature Insights
Insights are thematic overviews of key areas of science. Each Insight comprises a thorough collection of review articles commissioned from the leading experts in that field. Insights are published as an integral part of Nature and are also distributed separately to meetings and subscribers of other Nature-branded titles. Topics are diverse and have included AIDS, the future of electronics, obesity, proteomics, astrobiology and functional genomics.
Nature Milestones
Nature Milestones provide thematic educational overviews of the techniques that have been pivotal in the acceleration of selected topics within basic research over the past 20-30 years. Some of the key findings and discoveries that have been celebrated in past Milestones publications have included Cell Division, Development, Gene Expression and Cancer. Milestones are an integral part of Nature and are also circulated to subscribers of other Nature branded titles.
Nature Outlooks
Nature Outlooks are collections of insightful journalism on areas which impact research scientists. Areas covered in previous Outlooks have been geographical and include San Diego and Japan, but Outlooks will also highlight areas impacting global health, such as malaria. Outlooks are an integral part of Nature and are also circulated to subscribers of other Nature branded titles.
Reprint supplements
Nature and Nature Review journals often collect prominent papers in areas where spectacular progress has been made in a separate reprinted supplement. Such compilations are popular within the scientific community and provide an opportunity for sponsors to showcase their contribution and commitment to a specific topic. Past reprint collections have featured subjects such as cancer vaccines, microscopy, therapeutic proteins, RNAi and microarrays. These supplements can be distributed either as printed copies or as digital editions.
Nature Research, Nature Review & Academic Journal supplements
In addition to Nature, NPG also publishes 43 other highly successful journals, many of which have their own program of supplements. The more specialised and focused nature of the journals is reflected in the topics covered. Most recently, successful publications have covered developmental neuroscience, autoimmunity and breast cancer. The more targeted nature of the topics provides supporting organisations with a great opportunity to enhance their image to a select community.
Conferences
NPG has recently organised several very successful conferences. These events have provided exposure for many sponsoring companies, not only to the attending delegates and the immediate community, but also through press coverage to an even wider audience. As with all NPG projects, topics covered within these conferences are diverse and have included oncogenomics, realising genomic medicine and antisense RNA.
Web portals, gateways & special focuses
NPG has been at the forefront of online science communication with the Signalling Gateway and the Physics Portal. More specific and targeted web focuses have also been successfully launched by NPG on subjects such as malaria, tuberculosis and imaging in cell biology..
Posters and Calendars
Nature and Nature-branded titles often prepare posters or calendars to accompany special issues or conferences. These are extremely popular with researchers in the field and offer immediate impact for sponsors.
Our dedicated Business Development team works with individual sponsors to ensure that both the sponsor and the scientific community receive maximum benefit with each of these projects.
