Teledentistry: A global solution with local impact

In the dynamic world of healthcare, teledentistry is a beacon of hope for improving dental access. It is breaking down geographical barriers, making dental care reachable to remote populations. It is enabling prompt consultations, follow-ups, and preventive care, seeking to improve oral health outcomes.

In the UK, teledentistry could be transformative. Amidst the pressures on the NHS, it offers an opportunity to streamline services, cut down waiting times, and boost patient satisfaction. It could also help bridge oral health disparities. Where many countries widely flexed payments systems and adopted teledentistry during COVID-19 the UK did not - a missed opportunity.
