"Plant neuron" - A scanning electron microscopy image showing trichomes on a leaf of Verbascum thapsus (Great Mullein). The image was captured by Mayuko Sato and Kiminori Toyooka of the Plant Science Center, RIKEN, using the classical technique. Their lab uses both classical and innovative microscopic technologies to facilitate the progress of plant science.
