ABOUT THE SOCIETY
The International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism invites applications for membership. The Society welcomes those individuals who have an interest in cerebral blood flow, metabolism, and function, from basic to clinical aspects across a wide spread of interdisciplinary fields. The criteria to evaluate your application for ordinary membership are based upon your contributions to a field relevant to cerebral blood flow and metabolism: at least two refereed papers (first author, including articles in press) or one refereed paper plus two abstracts and other contributions will be considered, although papers under submission or in preparation, and other factors, e.g., positions and professorships, will not. Your application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee.
Membership means that you join a select group of scientists who share a common interest. You will gain timely access to Society programs, and the opportunity to attend "schools" organized by the Society and you will qualify for a discount on the registration fee for the biennial symposia (e.g. BRAIN '05 in Amsterdam). You will enjoy other advantages such as a substantially discounted subscription and page charge for your publications in the Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism. If you are less than 35 years old, you may apply for bursaries for the biennial symposia. Most importantly, your membership will help you to stay at the forefront of new research and knowledge concerning cerebral blood flow, metabolism, and function.
