The golden anniversary of Sir Macfarlane Burnet's
Clonal Selection Theory.

In celebration of the development of this influential idea, Immunology & Cell Biology is publishing a two-part special feature - 'The Power of One Idea: The Golden Anniversary of Burnet's Clonal Selection Theory', which is fitting as Burnet himself fostered and supported the development of this journal and published over 90 papers under its earlier name.

Sir Macfarlane Burnet's clonal selection theory outlined the principles that would underlie modern cellular and molecular immunology. This collection remembers the genesis of his paper, and notes the remarkable scientific and social consequences that followed. Let your users know that papers can be accessed thorough the Immunology & Cell Biology website
