ATHENS authentication compliance

NPG is compliant with ATHENS to provide secure remote access for ATHENS subscribers. Users have the ability to log-in directly from nature.com or through their MyAthens account.

"Export citation" & "Export references"

Valuable services that enable users to download key information into their personal bibliographic databases, organize references and images and create bibliographies and figure lists instantly from an article.

Users can save and annotate references and links to articles and web sites online using functionality from Connotea, then access them from any computer, share them with colleagues and discover new resources by connecting to the collections of others with similar interests.

Access up to four years of archive content with every licensed publication, plus search back to issue 1 for all Nature journals. The Nature archive is available by separate site license purchase. Archives for other journals vary.

Link to online databases including BIND, Biocompare, GENBANK, Locuslink, OMIM, the Protein Data Bank and SwissProt.

Reference linking within and beyond NPG

Article references link to the full abstracting services including: Chemical Abstracts Service, Chemport, CINAHL, EMBASE, ISI, including the ISI Web of Science, MEDLINE and Pubmed for further reading.
