The editorial is a nice gesture and tribute to Collins's hard work.

I'm surprised that there is no mention of his views on religion. Collins has been an outspoken evangelical Christian, even writing books about the "scientific evidence" for God. One naturally wonders if evangelism would be, as he says, "very difficult to consider or discuss or pursue while continuing in my role as a federal employee."
