Scandal after scandal, deception after deception, violation after violation, and naturally cover-up after cover-up in the world of science -- when will all these end? A scientist is supposed to be a person of integrity, honesty and humility. Fame and wealth must not supersede the grand goal of pure pursuit of knowledge or skills. Though failure may lead to frustration, frustration may breed desperation, and chronic desperation could result in serious misconduct, there is still no reason for a genuine scientist to fall into the trap. Greater and stricter control of deviated behavior ought to be exercised by the respective authorities, otherwise it would only bring greater mockery to the highly respectable yet often tarnished image of science.
