Africa's climate tied to northern hemisphere
Ocean temperatures seem to control rainfall in tropical Africa.
Africa's climate could be influenced by oceanic changes far away in the northern hemisphere. Research published this week in Science supports the notion that drought in some parts of Africa is triggered by a kind of climatic telecommunication.
