  • The 1.35 billion Chinese had a dramatic coastal ride in the past two months. First the euphoria after the glorious and successful completion of Beijing 2008 Olympics, then the gloom of the melamine-in-milk-powder fiasco, and now the immense pride after the crown achievement of the first spacewalk by a Chinese ?taikonaut?. In this world, there are the good and the bad. The good work conscientiously for the benefit of others and the nation, the bad crave for dirty quick money for self enrichment. Most people would be sandwiched in between. The Chinese are no exception. Better do good than bad. Let this be a lesson for all. (Tan Boon Tee)
