Charitable bodies hit by credit crisis
But most organizations unaffected as yet.
The ongoing financial crisis in the United States and Europe is hitting major research charities and institutions.
Organizations such as the Wellcome Trust in London and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York say that their endowments have dropped for the first time in years.
