Science investment crucial to surviving financial crisis

Britain's new science minister promises to "vigorously" defend budget.

Britain must maintain its investment in science and technology to ensure it pulls through the global credit crunch, the nation's new science minister says.

Paul Drayson took up the science portfolio on 6 October in a cabinet reshuffle.
