Some will interpret this as arrogant american dominance. Yet no one can dispute the right of the US to set safety standards for products that enter the american market. In that regard, the FDA offices in China and elsewhere are likely to facilitate exports by detecting problems closer to their source. Having said that, the US must accept strict reciprocity in these matters.
