Stem-cell therapy faces more scrutiny in China
But regulations remain unclear for companies that supply treatments.
Stem-cell scientists in China contacted by Nature hope that the rules may help to curtail a growing trade in unproven treatments that attract patients from around the world, risking their health and potentially damaging the reputation of stem-cell research.

Beike has beening earging a lot of money by treating patients with nerve injury (They only treat patents with these dieases because the efficiency of the treatment is only based on subjective evaluation, not objective evaluation, thus can be easily fabricated by themselves). I am sure they will not use stem cells produced by them to treat heart diseases or diabetes. So if you do not want to waste your money, and donot want to get HIV or hepatitis virus from they products, leave away from these cell products that have not been approved by the FDA and are not supervised by the authorities. Stem cell therapy for the treatment of nerve injury provides unclear benefits, since it does not address the underlying cause of said problem in the first place. Thus the issue, it is a "little" more complex !
Regarding my point of view, I agree with the research in stem cell therapy because I think that it will be the first step to find solutions. But I think, as it is happen with others new biological therapies, as gene therapy, it must be forbiden to be take by private comapnies or whichs are not close to an organized and approved clinical research.
In my view, the research in stem cell therapy properly will benift most patients, especially those who are suffering from such diseases as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer disease and so on.As the reader above said, the stem cell research should be conducted by authoritative instituts and follow the regulations.
Since they already did a lot trials in human beings, they should inform scientists in the stem cell field their success cases and failed cases, so scientists can find the reasons for these success or failed cases, in this way, stem cell therapy might improve and benefit human beings.
This should be a good start for China to regulate their stem cell therapies, especially for those involved hospitals that have been advertising their "autologous" stemcell treatments on the websites. And of course their impressive videos of "before" and "after" treatments with selected patients' testimonies should also be regulated. I believe that with all the talented stemcell researchers in China with advancement in their regulations and international collaborations, the patients in China or from all other countries will benefit significantly from it.
In my opinion, that's not objective. why the author don't question Osiris? just because it is an america company? we did a pretty good job here. The results of these initial trials are very encouraging and some clinical trials are under way to study the efficacy and the safety of therapeutics based on mesenchymal stem cells.
