Overview

Nature Publishing Group plays an active role in the international scientific community, facilitating communication between scientists and strengthening the wider community. We are committed to encouraging researchers to share their enthusiasm and expertise not only with their peers across the globe, but with those who will follow in their footsteps.

In support of these goals, NPG and its many collaborators conduct a varied series of Nature conferences that address key issues in science and are geographically dispersed.

Nature runs the Nature awards, an annual mentorship award program rewarding scientists acknowledged by their colleagues for being positive influences on those who pass through their labs.

NPG is involved in several initiatives to support scientists in developing countries. Through a number of access programmes, scientists in over 100 countries can freely access NPG journals. The NPG Awards to the Gordon Research Conferences are granted to those who are citizens of, and who work in, countries of the developing world. Within Africa, we are supporting a research center in Rwanda.
