About the Editors

Editor-in-Chief

Kirill Horoshenkov, PhD
Professor of Acoustics, Department of Mechanical Engineering
University of Sheffield
Sheffield, UK

Professor Horoshenkov's main research interests are in acoustic instrumentation, materials, physical acoustics and noise control. His other research interest is in robotic sensing with sound waves. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Acoustical Society of America and UK's Institute of Acoustics.

Associate Editors

Hong Chen, PhD
Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Neurosurgery
Washington University in St. Louis
St. Louis, MO, USA

Dr. Chen’s research interest is in transforming the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of brain diseases through pioneering advancements in ultrasound technology. She works on discovering intact brain functions using noninvasive ultrasound tools, developing cutting-edge ultrasound-brain interfacing devices and technologies, and translating incisionless ultrasound technologies into clinical practice.

Jean-Philippe Groby, PhD
CNRS Senior Researcher
Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans (LAUM)
Le Mans, France

Jean-Philippe Groby has been a CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans (UMR CNRS 6613) since 2009. His research in physical acoustics focuses on the design, manufacturing, and characterization of complex structures for the control of audible sound, such as metamaterials, meta-surfaces and metafluids, as well as porous and poroelastic materials.

Lixi Huang, PhD
Professor and Deputy Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering
The University of Hong Kong
Hong Kong, China

Lixi teaches acoustics and aeronautical engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He earned his BEng and MPhil degrees from BUAA before studying acoustics in Cambridge (supervised by Prof JE Ffowcs Williams) for his PhD. His current research interest is mainly the control of noise and flow-induced vibration.
