Calls for papers

This Collection seeks submissions to Nature Communications, Communications Biology and Scientific Reports that highlight the unique insights that can be gained from research on non-traditional model organisms.

With this cross-journal Collection, the editors at Nature Communications, Communications Biology, Communications Medicine, and Scientific Reports invite submissions covering the breadth of research carried out in the field of cancer epigenetics. We will highlight studies aiming at the improvement of our understanding of the epigenetic mechanisms underlying cancer initiation, progression, response to therapy, metastasis and tumour plasticity as well as findings that have the potential to be translated into the clinic.

This cross-journal Collection shines a spotlight on research exploring neural mechanisms underlying cognitive functions in people affected by neurological conditions.

This Collection welcomes submissions to Nature Communications, Communications Biology, and Scientific Reports of primary research that aim to better our understanding of the metabolism, transport and signaling of plant hormones and how this impacts growth and development.

With this Collection, a partnership between Nature, Nature Medicine and Nature Communications, we welcome submissions of primary research papers that focus on neo-adjuvant immunotherapies and related combinatorial approaches (such as radio-immunotherapy or chemo-immunotherapy).

We also welcome new submissions of research and opinion pieces that address challenges in sustainable food production from either the technological or the ecological perspective.

This Orphan Crop Genomics and Improvement Collection welcomes submissions on orphan crops genomics, genetics, and breeding.

With this Collection, Nature Communications, Nature Genetics, Communications Biology and Scientific Reports aim to publish research articles based on genetic studies in diverse human populations. This Collection includes the breadth of human genetics research, including but not limited to complex trait association studies, rare variant studies, population genetics and bioinformatics methods.
